Today is my best friend’s 30th birthday. We have been best friends for 20 years now– (wow, that makes us sound old).
Anyway, Banana (one of Deanna’s many nicknames) I’m sorry I couldn’t be there for your big 20-10. Because I’m all the way in Vietnam and unable to celebrate with you, whether it be mourning the passing of your 20’s with a little help from our favorite cab-shiraz or devising a plan on how to actually make 30 “the new 20”— I thought I would dedicate this blog entry to you in hopes that this message will bring a smile to your newly 30 (and fabulous) face.
